Quick and delicious, this 30-Minute Honey Garlic Chicken recipe features tender chicken breasts smothered in a flavorful honey garlic sauce. Perfect for busy nights when you want something sweet, savory, and ready in no time.

Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce (low sodium recommended)
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar or lemon juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley (optional, for garnish)
  • Sesame seeds (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  • Prep the chicken: Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper on both sides.
  • Cook the chicken: Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add chicken breasts and cook for about 5-7 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
  • Make the sauce: In the same skillet, add garlic and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant. Then, add honey, soy sauce, apple cider vinegar (or lemon juice), and ground ginger. Stir to combine and bring to a simmer.
  • Combine: Return the cooked chicken to the skillet and coat with the honey garlic sauce. Let it simmer for 2-3 minutes, allowing the sauce to thicken.
  • Serve: Remove from heat and garnish with fresh parsley and sesame seeds (if desired). Serve hot with rice, veggies, or your favorite side.

Notes

  • You can use chicken thighs instead of breasts for a juicier result.
  • Adjust the sweetness by adding more or less honey to suit your taste.
  • For extra flavor, try adding a pinch of red pepper flakes for a bit of heat.
