This 5-minute dreamy tahini dip is ultra-creamy, flavorful, and made with just a few simple ingredients. It’s perfect as a dip, drizzle, or spread for all kinds of dishes.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup tahini
  • 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice
  • 1/4 cup warm water, plus more as needed
  • 1 small garlic clove, pressed or minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1/4 teaspoon fine sea salt
  • Optional toppings: chopped fresh herbs, sesame seeds, sumac, Aleppo pepper, etc.

Instructions

  1. Combine tahini, lemon juice, warm water, garlic, cumin, and salt in a mixing bowl or food processor.
  2. Whisk or blend until completely smooth and creamy, adding more water a tablespoon at a time if needed to reach your desired consistency.
  3. Taste and adjust seasoning as needed.
  4. Serve immediately topped with your favorite garnishes, or refrigerate in a sealed container for up to 1 week.

Notes

  • If your tahini is very thick, start with a bit more water to help it blend smoothly.
  • This dip thickens as it sits in the fridge — just whisk in a little water to loosen it up again before serving.
  • Great as a dip, dressing, or spread!
