These Air Fryer Apple Fries are a fun and healthier dessert or snack option, made by coating fresh apple slices in a spiced crumb mixture and air frying them to crispy perfection. Served with a sweet caramel dip, they’re a tasty treat for all ages.

Ingredients

  • 2 large apples (Granny Smith or Honeycrisp), sliced into fry-sized pieces
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1 cup graham cracker crumbs
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg
  • 1 tbsp sugar (optional, for coating)
  • Cooking spray

Instructions

  1. Preheat your air fryer to 380°F (193°C).
  2. Set up a dredging station with three bowls: one with flour, one with beaten eggs, and one with graham cracker crumbs mixed with cinnamon, nutmeg, and optional sugar.
  3. Dip each apple slice into the flour, then the egg, and finally coat with the graham cracker mixture.
  4. Place the coated apple fries in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Do not overcrowd.
  5. Lightly spray the apple fries with cooking spray.
  6. Air fry for 4-6 minutes, or until golden and crispy.
  7. Serve warm with caramel dip or your favorite sauce.

Notes

  • Use firm apples like Granny Smith or Honeycrisp for best texture.
  • These are best enjoyed immediately for maximum crispiness.
  • You can substitute graham cracker crumbs with crushed cornflakes for extra crunch.
