Ingredients

  • 1 jar of dill pickle slices (about 24 oz)
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
  • Cooking spray

Instructions

  • Drain the pickle slices and pat them dry with paper towels to remove excess moisture.
  • In a shallow bowl, mix flour, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper.
  • In another bowl, beat the eggs.
  • In a third bowl, combine panko breadcrumbs and grated Parmesan cheese (optional).
  • Dredge each pickle slice first in the flour mixture, then dip into the beaten eggs, and finally coat with the panko mixture.
  • Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
  • Arrange the coated pickles in a single layer in the air fryer basket, making sure they don’t overlap.
  • Lightly spray the pickles with cooking spray to ensure a crispy texture.
  • Air fry the pickles for 8-10 minutes or until golden brown and crispy, flipping them halfway through for even cooking.
  • Serve with ranch or your favorite dipping sauce and enjoy!

Notes

  • Ensure the pickles are well-drained to prevent sogginess.
  • If you prefer extra crispy pickles, you can double-coat them by repeating the flour, egg, and breadcrumb steps.
  • Air fryer cooking times may vary depending on the model, so keep an eye on the pickles as they cook.
