A creamy, fruity dessert salad inspired by the classic banana split. This no-bake treat features bananas, pineapples, cherries, marshmallows, and chocolate chips—perfect for potlucks and parties.

Ingredients

  • 1 package (3.4 oz) instant banana pudding mix
  • 1 can (20 oz) crushed pineapple, undrained
  • 1 container (8 oz) Cool Whip, thawed
  • 2 cups mini marshmallows
  • 1 cup strawberries, diced
  • 23 bananas, sliced
  • 1/2 cup walnuts or pecans, chopped
  • 1/2 cup mini chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup maraschino cherries, halved and drained

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the pudding mix and crushed pineapple (with juice) until smooth and thickened.
  2. Fold in the Cool Whip until well combined.
  3. Gently stir in the mini marshmallows, strawberries, bananas, chopped nuts, and mini chocolate chips.
  4. Add the maraschino cherries, folding them in gently to avoid coloring the salad pink.
  5. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour before serving.

Notes

  • Use firm bananas to prevent them from getting mushy in the salad.
  • Fold gently to maintain the fluffiness and texture.
