Bang Bang Shrimp Pasta is a creamy, spicy, and flavorful dish made with tender shrimp tossed in a bold sauce featuring sweet chili, sriracha, and garlic — all served over a bed of perfectly cooked pasta. It’s a restaurant-style meal that’s quick and easy to make at home!

Ingredients

  • 8 oz linguine or spaghetti
  • 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil or butter
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • For the Bang Bang Sauce:
  • ½ cup mayonnaise
  • ¼ cup sweet chili sauce
  • 12 tablespoons sriracha (adjust to taste)
  • 1 tablespoon honey (optional for sweetness)
  • Juice of ½ lime (optional for balance)
  • Optional Garnishes:
  • Sliced green onions
  • Red pepper flakes
  • Chopped parsley or cilantro

Instructions

  • Cook pasta according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
  • In a bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, sriracha, honey, and lime juice to make the Bang Bang sauce. Set aside.
  • Season shrimp with salt and pepper.
  • In a large skillet, heat olive oil or butter over medium heat. Add garlic and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  • Add shrimp and cook for 2–3 minutes per side or until pink and cooked through.
  • Reduce heat to low. Add cooked pasta to the skillet with the shrimp. Pour in the Bang Bang sauce and toss everything together until evenly coated.
  • Cook for 1–2 more minutes to heat through.
  • Garnish with green onions, red pepper flakes, or fresh herbs, and serve immediately.

Notes

  • You can use cooked frozen shrimp to save time — just thaw and warm gently.
  • For a lighter version, substitute Greek yogurt for half the mayo.
  • Works great with rice noodles or even zucchini noodles for a low-carb option.
