Cinnamon Roll French Toast Roll-Ups are a delicious breakfast treat made by rolling up white bread with a sweet cinnamon filling, dipping in an egg mixture, and cooking until golden brown. Perfect for a quick, indulgent breakfast or brunch.

Ingredients

  • 8 slices white bread
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tbsp ground cinnamon
  • 2 eggs
  • 3 tbsp milk
  • Butter for greasing the pan
  • Syrup or extra powdered sugar for serving (optional)

Instructions

  1. Trim the crusts off the bread slices and flatten each slice with a rolling pin.
  2. In a bowl, mix cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  3. Spread about a tablespoon of the cream cheese mixture on each slice of bread.
  4. Roll the bread tightly into logs.
  5. In a shallow bowl, whisk together eggs and milk.
  6. In another bowl, mix granulated sugar and cinnamon.
  7. Dip each roll-up in the egg mixture, coating completely.
  8. Grease a skillet with butter and heat over medium heat.
  9. Cook the roll-ups until all sides are golden brown.
  10. Immediately roll the cooked roll-ups in the cinnamon sugar mixture to coat.
  11. Serve warm with syrup or a dusting of powdered sugar if desired.

Notes

  • Use fresh, soft white bread for best rolling results.
  • You can prepare the filling in advance and store it in the fridge.
  • These are best served warm right after cooking.
