Ingredients
8 slices white bread
4 oz cream cheese, softened
1/4 cup powdered sugar
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
1/3 cup granulated sugar
1 tbsp ground cinnamon
2 eggs
3 tbsp milk
Butter for greasing the pan
Syrup or extra powdered sugar for serving (optional)
Instructions
Trim the crusts off the bread slices and flatten each slice with a rolling pin.
In a bowl, mix cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
Spread about a tablespoon of the cream cheese mixture on each slice of bread.
Roll the bread tightly into logs.
In a shallow bowl, whisk together eggs and milk.
In another bowl, mix granulated sugar and cinnamon.
Dip each roll-up in the egg mixture, coating completely.
Grease a skillet with butter and heat over medium heat.
Cook the roll-ups until all sides are golden brown.
Immediately roll the cooked roll-ups in the cinnamon sugar mixture to coat.
Serve warm with syrup or a dusting of powdered sugar if desired.
