Crispy Bang Bang Salmon Bites are bite-sized pieces of salmon coated in a light, crispy crust and tossed in a creamy, sweet-and-spicy Bang Bang sauce, perfect as an appetizer or main dish.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb salmon fillet, skin removed and cut into bite-sized cubes
  • 1/2 cup cornstarch
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/3 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup sweet chili sauce
  • 12 tbsp sriracha sauce (to taste)
  • 1 tbsp honey or sugar
  • Chopped green onions (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C) or preheat an air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Pat salmon pieces dry with paper towels.
  3. In a bowl, mix cornstarch, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.
  4. Toss salmon bites in the cornstarch mixture until evenly coated.
  5. Drizzle salmon with olive oil and gently mix.
  6. Arrange salmon bites in a single layer on a lined baking sheet or air fryer basket.
  7. Bake for 12–15 minutes (or air fry for 8–10 minutes), flipping halfway, until crispy and cooked through.
  8. Meanwhile, whisk mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, sriracha, and honey in a small bowl.
  9. Toss cooked salmon bites in the Bang Bang sauce or drizzle sauce on top.
  10. Garnish with chopped green onions and serve immediately.

Notes

  • Adjust sriracha for more or less heat.
  • Serve over rice, in tacos, or as an appetizer.
  • For extra crispiness, avoid overcrowding the pan or air fryer.
