Brazilian Limeade is a refreshing, creamy, and tangy beverage made with fresh limes, sweetened condensed milk, and sparkling water. Perfect for hot days, this traditional Brazilian drink offers a sweet and tart flavor that’s easy to make in minutes. Ideal for summer gatherings or a cool treat anytime!

Ingredients

  • 4 fresh limes, quartered (with peel)
  • 1 cup cold water
  • 1 cup ice cubes
  • 1/2 cup sweetened condensed milk
  • 1/2 cup sparkling water (optional for fizz)
  • Sugar to taste (optional)

Instructions

  • Place the quartered limes and cold water in a blender. Pulse 3-4 times to release the lime flavor but avoid over-blending to prevent bitterness from the peel.
  • Strain the mixture through a fine mesh sieve into a pitcher to remove pulp and seeds.
  • Add ice cubes and sweetened condensed milk to the pitcher. Stir well until combined.
  • If desired, add sparkling water for a fizzy twist. Adjust sweetness with sugar if needed.
  • Serve immediately chilled.

Notes

  • Do not over-blend the limes to avoid bitterness from the white pith.
  • You can substitute sweetened condensed milk with coconut milk and sugar for a dairy-free version.
  • Adjust sweetness to your taste preference.
