Ingredients
1/2 cup (115g) unsalted butter
1 cup (200g) granulated sugar
2 large eggs
1/3 cup (40g) unsweetened cocoa powder
1/2 cup (65g) all-purpose flour
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 tsp baking powder
16 oz (450g) cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup (100g) granulated sugar (for cheesecake layer)
2 large eggs (for cheesecake layer)
1 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a 9-inch springform pan with parchment paper and lightly grease it.
In a saucepan, melt the butter. Remove from heat and stir in sugar, eggs, and vanilla.
Stir in cocoa powder, flour, salt, and baking powder until fully combined.
Pour 2/3 of the brownie batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly.
In a separate bowl, beat cream cheese and sugar until smooth. Add eggs and vanilla and mix until well combined.
Pour the cheesecake mixture over the brownie layer in the pan.
Spoon the remaining brownie batter on top in dollops and swirl gently with a knife for a marbled effect.
Bake for 45–50 minutes or until the center is set and a toothpick inserted comes out mostly clean.
Let cool completely, then refrigerate for at least 4 hours before serving.
Notes
Use high-quality cocoa powder for a richer chocolate flavor.
Chilling before slicing ensures clean cuts and better texture.
This dessert can be made a day ahead and stored in the fridge.
Top with fresh berries or a drizzle of chocolate sauce for extra flair.
