Ingredients

  • For the Shrimp & Steak:
  • 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 steaks (such as ribeye or sirloin)
  • 2 tbsp Cajun seasoning
  • 2 tbsp olive oil (for searing)
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • For the Alfredo Sauce:
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning (optional)
  • For the Pasta:
  • 12 oz fettuccine or pasta of choice
  • 1 tbsp olive oil (for pasta water)

Instructions

  • Prepare the Steak and Shrimp:
  • Season the steak with Cajun seasoning, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper.
  • Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the steak for about 3-4 minutes per side for medium-rare, or to your desired doneness. Remove from heat, let rest for a few minutes, then slice thinly against the grain.
  • In the same skillet, add shrimp, seasoning with Cajun seasoning, salt, and pepper. Cook for 2-3 minutes per side, until pink and opaque. Remove and set aside.
  • Prepare the Pasta:
  • Cook pasta according to package instructions. Drain, reserving about 1 cup of pasta water. Drizzle with olive oil to prevent sticking.
  • Make the Alfredo Sauce:
  • In the same skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute.
  • Pour in the heavy cream, stirring occasionally. Bring to a gentle simmer.
  • Stir in Parmesan cheese and season with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning (optional). Let the sauce simmer for 3-4 minutes until thickened.
  • Combine and Serve:
  • Add the cooked pasta to the Alfredo sauce, tossing to coat. If the sauce is too thick, add some reserved pasta water to loosen it up.
  • Add the cooked shrimp and steak slices on top of the pasta, mixing everything gently.
  • Serve:
  • Garnish with extra Parmesan, chopped parsley, or additional Cajun seasoning for a flavorful finish.

Notes

  • Adjust the Cajun seasoning to your spice preference. If you prefer a milder flavor, reduce the amount of Cajun seasoning.
  • For a richer flavor, substitute half-and-half or full cream instead of heavy cream.
  • If you prefer a different type of pasta, you can use penne, rigatoni, or any pasta you prefer.
