Ingredients

  • For the crust: Flour, brown sugar, quick oats, butter.
  • For the caramel filling: Butter, brown sugar, milk, vanilla extract, flour.

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 325°F.
  • Prepare the crust by melting butter and mixing with flour, brown sugar, and oats. Press into a greased pan and bake for 10 minutes. Let cool.
  • For the caramel filling, melt butter in a pan, add brown sugar, milk, vanilla, and flour. Stir until smooth, then bring to a slow boil for about 3 minutes.
  • Pour the caramel filling over the cooled crust. Sprinkle the reserved crust mixture on top and bake at 300°F for 20 minutes.
  • Allow to cool before serving. Bars will firm up as they cool

Notes

These bars will be a bit runny but firm up as they cool.
