Cheesy Garlic Pull-Apart Bread is a warm, savory appetizer made with layers of biscuit dough coated in garlic butter and filled with melted mozzarella and cheddar cheese. Perfect as a shareable side or snack.

Ingredients

  • 1 can (8-count) buttermilk biscuits
  • ½ cup (1 stick / 113 g) unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 tablespoon garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon parsley, chopped, plus extra for garnish
  • ½ teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1 cup (113 g) mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • ½ cup (56.5 g) sharp cheddar cheese, shredded

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and spray a 9×5-inch loaf pan with non-stick cooking spray.
  2. In a small bowl, combine the melted butter, minced garlic, chopped parsley, and kosher salt. Stir well and set aside.
  3. In another bowl, mix together the shredded mozzarella and sharp cheddar cheeses.
  4. Open the can of biscuits and separate each biscuit. Carefully peel each biscuit into two layers to get 16 layers total.
  5. Dip each biscuit layer into the garlic butter to coat, then sprinkle about 1 tablespoon of the cheese mixture on top. Stack the layers as you go.
  6. Place the stacked layers into the prepared loaf pan.
  7. Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until golden brown and fully cooked through.
  8. Remove from the oven and let cool slightly. Garnish with extra chopped parsley and serve warm.

Notes

  • Use freshly minced garlic for a more intense flavor.
  • Let the bread rest for 5-10 minutes before removing from the pan to help it hold its shape.
  • You can add red pepper flakes for a bit of heat.
  • Try using other cheeses like Monterey Jack or provolone for variety.
