These Cinnamon Roll French Toast Roll-Ups combine the sweet, gooey flavor of cinnamon rolls with the crispy, golden texture of French toast. Perfect for breakfast, brunch, or a weekend treat, this recipe is quick, kid-friendly, and totally irresistible.

Ingredients

  • 8 slices of white bread, crusts removed
  • 1 (8 oz) package cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 2 tbsp butter, for frying
  • Maple syrup or cream cheese glaze, for serving (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla until smooth.
  2. Flatten bread slices with a rolling pin.
  3. Spread about 1 tablespoon of cream cheese mixture onto each slice and roll up tightly.
  4. In a shallow bowl, whisk eggs and milk together.
  5. In another bowl, combine granulated sugar and cinnamon.
  6. Dip each roll-up in the egg mixture and then gently roll in the cinnamon sugar.
  7. Heat butter in a skillet over medium heat. Cook roll-ups, turning often, until all sides are golden brown.
  8. Serve warm with maple syrup or drizzle with extra cream cheese glaze if desired.

Notes

  • Use day-old bread for easier rolling.
  • These can be prepped the night before and cooked in the morning.
  • For a shortcut, use store-bought cinnamon sugar cream cheese.
  • Can be made dairy-free with non-dairy cream cheese and milk.
