This coffee jelly recipe combines the bold, bittersweet flavor of coffee with a light and bouncy gelatin texture. It’s simple to make with just a few ingredients and is perfect for make-ahead entertaining or a refreshing coffee-flavored dessert.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups brewed black coffee (hot)
  • 1 tablespoon unflavored gelatin powder
  • 2 tablespoons cold water (for blooming gelatin)
  • 3 tablespoons granulated sugar (adjust to taste)
  • Whipped cream (optional, for serving)

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, sprinkle the unflavored gelatin powder over 2 tablespoons of cold water and let it bloom for about 5 minutes.
  2. In a saucepan, combine the hot brewed coffee and sugar. Stir until the sugar is fully dissolved.
  3. Add the bloomed gelatin to the hot coffee mixture and stir until the gelatin is completely dissolved.
  4. Pour the mixture into a square or rectangular dish and let it cool to room temperature.
  5. Once cooled, refrigerate for at least 4 hours or until fully set.
  6. Cut the jelly into cubes and serve in individual glasses or bowls.
  7. Top with whipped cream, if desired.

Notes

  • Use strong coffee or espresso for a richer flavor.
  • Adjust sweetness to taste or substitute with honey or sugar alternatives.
  • Serve with milk or flavored creamers for extra flavor.
  • Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
  • Do not freeze; gelatin texture may be compromised.
