This Crack Burger is a mouthwatering, ultra-juicy burger packed with Parmesan cheese, garlic, and Worcestershire sauce right in the patty. Topped with melty cheddar cheese, crisp lettuce, and fresh tomato, it’s a must-try recipe for burger lovers. Made entirely with 100% beef, this burger is perfect for grilling or stovetop cooking!

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 4 cloves garlic (minced)
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 4 slices cheddar cheese
  • 4 hamburger buns
  • 4 lettuce leaves
  • 1 tomato (sliced)
  • 1 tbsp butter (for toasting buns)
  • ¼ lb ground beef

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Patties: In a bowl, mix 1 lb of ground beef with garlic, Parmesan cheese, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and black pepper. Gently combine without overmixing.
  2. Shape the Patties: Divide the mixture into four equal portions and form burger patties. Make a small indentation in the center to prevent puffing during cooking.
  3. Cook the Patties: Heat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the patties for about 5 minutes per side, until they reach 160°F internal temperature.
  4. Cook the Extra Beef Layer: Shape the additional ¼ lb ground beef into thin, flat pieces. Cook these separately for 2-3 minutes per side to create a second layer of beef.
  5. Melt the Cheese: In the last minute of cooking, place a slice of cheddar cheese on each patty and cover to let it melt.
  6. Toast the Buns: Butter the cut sides of the buns and toast them in a skillet until golden brown.
  7. Assemble the Burger:
    • Place a lettuce leaf and a tomato slice on the bottom bun.
    • Add the first beef patty with melted cheese.
    • Add the second beef layer
    • Spread mayo and ketchup on the top bun.
    • Close the burger and serve immediately.

Notes

  • For an extra juicy burger, use 80/20 ground beef.
  • You can substitute Swiss, blue cheese, or Monterey Jack for cheddar.
  • If you prefer a gluten-free option, swap the bun for lettuce wraps.
