This Crazy Crust Pizza is a unique twist on traditional pizza, where the crust is poured as a batter instead of kneaded! The result is a crispy, golden crust that forms around your favorite toppings as it bakes. Quick, easy, and perfect for busy weeknights!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 pound ground beef or Italian sausage, cooked and crumbled
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 1/2 cup chopped bell pepper
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup pizza sauce

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, salt, and Italian seasoning.
  3. Add eggs and milk, stirring until smooth. The batter will be thin, like pancake batter.
  4. Pour the batter evenly into the greased baking dish.
  5. Sprinkle the cooked ground beef (or sausage), onion, and bell pepper over the batter. Do not stir!
  6. Bake for 20-25 minutes, until the crust is golden brown and set.
  7. Remove from oven and spread pizza sauce evenly over the baked crust.
  8. Sprinkle mozzarella and cheddar cheese on top.
  9. Return to the oven and bake for another 8-10 minutes, until cheese is melted and bubbly.
  10. Let cool slightly, then slice and enjoy!

  • You can customize the toppings with pepperoni, mushrooms, olives, or any of your favorites!
  • For extra flavor, add a sprinkle of garlic powder or red pepper flakes.
  • Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
