This creamy avocado pasta sauce is a quick, healthy, and flavorful alternative to traditional cream-based sauces. Made with ripe avocados, fresh herbs, and garlic, it’s perfect for a dairy-free, vegan-friendly meal.

Ingredients

  • 2 ripe avocados
  • 12 garlic cloves
  • 2 Tbsp lemon juice (or lime juice)
  • 23 Tbsp olive oil
  • 1 handful fresh basil (optional)
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste
  • Water or pasta water (as needed to thin sauce)

Instructions

  1. Cut the avocados in half, remove the pit, and scoop the flesh into a blender or food processor.
  2. Add the garlic, lemon juice, olive oil, basil (if using), salt, and pepper.
  3. Blend until smooth, adding a little water or pasta water to achieve the desired consistency.
  4. Taste and adjust seasoning as needed.
  5. Serve immediately with cooked pasta of your choice. Toss to coat evenly.
