These Crispy Bang Bang Salmon Bites are tender, golden-crisp salmon cubes tossed in a creamy, sweet, and spicy bang bang sauce. Quick to make and bursting with flavor, they’re perfect as an appetizer, game-day snack, or even served over rice for a fast weeknight dinner.

Ingredients

  • For the salmon:
  • 1 lb salmon fillet, skin removed, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • ½ cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs, beaten
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp paprika
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp black pepper
  • Oil, for frying (or air frying)
  • For the bang bang sauce:
  • ½ cup mayonnaise (or Greek yogurt for lighter version)
  • 3 tbsp sweet chili sauce
  • 12 tbsp sriracha (adjust to heat preference)
  • 1 tbsp honey

Instructions

  • Prep salmon: Pat salmon cubes dry with paper towels. Season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.
  • Dredge & coat: Dip salmon pieces into flour, then beaten eggs, then coat in panko breadcrumbs.
  • Cook:
  • Frying: Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Fry salmon until golden and crispy (about 2–3 minutes per side).
  • Air fryer: Spray salmon bites with oil and air fry at 400°F (200°C) for 8–10 minutes, flipping halfway.
  • Make sauce: In a small bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, sriracha, and honey.
  • Toss & serve: Coat crispy salmon bites in bang bang sauce or drizzle on top. Garnish with green onions or sesame seeds.

Notes

  • For extra crunch, double-coat salmon in panko.
  • Swap salmon for shrimp or chicken to make other bang bang favorites.
  • Serve with jasmine rice, lettuce wraps, or skewered with toothpicks for parties.
