Ingredients
4 salmon fillets (about 6 oz each, skin on or off)
2 tablespoons olive oil (or butter)
Salt and black pepper, to taste
1/3 cup honey
3 tablespoons soy sauce
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
1 teaspoon cornstarch mixed with 1 tablespoon water (optional, for thickening)
Fresh parsley or green onions, chopped (for garnish)
Lemon wedges, for serving
Instructions
Pat salmon fillets dry with paper towels. Season with salt and pepper.
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Place salmon skin-side down (if skin-on) and sear 4–5 minutes until golden and crispy. Flip and cook another 2–3 minutes until salmon is nearly cooked through. Remove salmon to a plate.
In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium. Add honey, soy sauce, garlic, and lemon juice. Stir and let simmer 2–3 minutes until slightly thickened. (Add cornstarch slurry if you want a thicker glaze.)
Return salmon to the skillet, spooning glaze over the top. Cook 1–2 minutes until salmon is fully cooked and coated in the sauce.
Garnish with parsley or green onions and serve with lemon wedges.
Notes
Serve over rice, quinoa, or roasted vegetables for a complete meal.
For a spicier version, add a pinch of red pepper flakes or sriracha to the glaze.
