Delightful Stuffed Seafood Bread Bowl Recipe – a delicious and unique seafood dish that combines rich seafood flavors with a hearty bread bowl. Perfect for gatherings or special occasions, this stuffed bread bowl is sure to impress.

Ingredients

  • 1 large round loaf of bread (sourdough or similar)
  • 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1/2 lb crab meat (optional or use more shrimp)
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup chopped green onions
  • 1/4 cup celery, finely diced
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Slice off the top of the bread loaf and hollow out the inside, leaving about 1-inch of bread on all sides. Save the bread chunks for dipping.
  • In a large skillet, cook shrimp over medium heat until pink and cooked through (about 3-4 minutes). Chop shrimp into smaller pieces.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the chopped shrimp, crab meat, mayonnaise, sour cream, green onions, celery, Dijon mustard, garlic powder, lemon juice, salt, and pepper. Stir until everything is well mixed.
  • Spoon the seafood mixture into the hollowed bread loaf, packing it in as you go.
  • Place the stuffed bread bowl on a baking sheet and bake for 15-20 minutes or until the top is golden brown.
  • Garnish with fresh parsley and serve with the bread chunks for dipping.

Notes

  • You can substitute the crab meat with more shrimp or use any seafood of your choice.
  • This recipe can be prepared in advance and stored in the fridge for up to 24 hours before baking.
