Ingredients
1 large round loaf of bread (sourdough or similar)
1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
1/2 lb crab meat (optional or use more shrimp)
1/2 cup mayonnaise
1/2 cup sour cream
1/4 cup chopped green onions
1/4 cup celery, finely diced
1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon lemon juice
Salt and pepper to taste
Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
Slice off the top of the bread loaf and hollow out the inside, leaving about 1-inch of bread on all sides. Save the bread chunks for dipping.
In a large skillet, cook shrimp over medium heat until pink and cooked through (about 3-4 minutes). Chop shrimp into smaller pieces.
In a large mixing bowl, combine the chopped shrimp, crab meat, mayonnaise, sour cream, green onions, celery, Dijon mustard, garlic powder, lemon juice, salt, and pepper. Stir until everything is well mixed.
Spoon the seafood mixture into the hollowed bread loaf, packing it in as you go.
Place the stuffed bread bowl on a baking sheet and bake for 15-20 minutes or until the top is golden brown.
Garnish with fresh parsley and serve with the bread chunks for dipping.
Notes
You can substitute the crab meat with more shrimp or use any seafood of your choice.
