This Dr Pepper Pecan Fudge combines the nostalgic flavor of Dr Pepper with creamy chocolate fudge and crunchy pecans. Sweet, smooth, and a little nutty, it’s a fun twist on classic fudge and makes the perfect holiday treat or edible gift.

Ingredients

  • 1 can (12 oz) Dr Pepper
  • 3 cups semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  • In a saucepan over medium heat, simmer Dr Pepper until reduced to about 1/2 cup (15–20 minutes). Let cool slightly.
  • Line an 8×8-inch baking dish with parchment paper.
  • In a medium saucepan, combine chocolate chips, condensed milk, butter, and reduced Dr Pepper. Stir constantly over low heat until smooth and melted.
  • Remove from heat and stir in vanilla, salt, and pecans.
  • Pour mixture into prepared dish, smoothing the top.
  • Refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or until firm.
  • Cut into squares and serve.

Notes

  • Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 1 week.
  • Toast the pecans before adding for extra flavor.
