These Easter Dirt Cups are a fun, festive no-bake dessert made with layers of chocolate pudding, crushed Oreos, and Easter-themed candy. Perfect for spring parties or as a kid-friendly treat.

Ingredients

  • 1 (3.9 oz) box instant chocolate pudding mix
  • 2 cups cold milk
  • 1 (8 oz) container whipped topping (like Cool Whip)
  • 15 Oreo cookies, crushed
  • 68 small plastic cups or dessert cups
  • Peeps marshmallow chicks
  • Cadbury Mini Eggs or jelly beans
  • Green-tinted shredded coconut (optional, for ‘grass’)

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, whisk together the instant chocolate pudding mix and cold milk until thickened, about 2 minutes.
  2. Fold in the whipped topping until fully combined and smooth.
  3. Crush Oreo cookies in a food processor or by placing them in a zip-top bag and crushing with a rolling pin.
  4. Spoon a layer of crushed Oreos into the bottom of each cup.
  5. Add a layer of the pudding mixture over the crushed cookies.
  6. Top with more crushed Oreos to resemble ‘dirt.’
  7. Decorate the top with Peeps chicks, Mini Eggs, and optional green coconut to create an Easter garden scene.
  8. Refrigerate the cups for at least 1 hour before serving to allow them to set.

Notes

  • You can substitute chocolate sandwich cookies for Oreos.
  • Use homemade whipped cream instead of Cool Whip if desired.
  • Let kids help decorate for a fun Easter activity.
  • Make them a day in advance for convenience.
