Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1½ cups milk
  • 2 cups elbow macaroni, uncooked
  • 1 (8 oz) can tomato sauce
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • ½ tsp chili powder
  • ½ tsp salt (or to taste)
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

Instructions

  • In a large skillet or Dutch oven, cook ground beef over medium-high heat until browned. Drain excess grease if needed.
  • Add chopped onion and garlic, sauté for 2–3 minutes until softened.
  • Stir in beef broth, milk, tomato sauce, macaroni, paprika, chili powder, salt, and pepper.
  • Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low. Cover and simmer for 12–15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until pasta is tender.
  • Remove from heat and stir in shredded cheddar cheese until melted and creamy.
  • Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley if desired.

Notes

  • You can substitute ground turkey or chicken for the beef.
  • Add a pinch of cayenne for a spicy kick.
  • For a creamier texture, stir in ¼ cup of sour cream or cream cheese at the end.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 4 days.
