This Easy Refried Bean Dip is a quick and delicious appetizer perfect for parties or snacking. Made with creamy refried beans, cheese, and simple spices, it’s a crowd-pleaser that pairs perfectly with tortilla chips. Ready in under 15 minutes!

Ingredients

  • 1 can (16 oz) refried beans
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (or Mexican blend)
  • 1/2 cup salsa
  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Optional toppings: chopped green onions, sliced black olives, jalapeños

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a mixing bowl, combine refried beans, salsa, sour cream, cumin, chili powder, and garlic powder. Stir well until smooth.
  • Spread the bean mixture evenly in a baking dish (8×8 inch works well).
  • Sprinkle shredded cheese evenly on top.
  • Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  • Remove from oven and garnish with optional toppings like green onions, olives, or jalapeños.
  • Serve warm with tortilla chips.

Notes

  • For extra heat, add diced jalapeños into the bean mixture before baking.
  • Use low-fat sour cream and reduced-fat cheese for a lighter version.
  • You can also prepare this dip in the microwave for 3-4 minutes, stirring halfway through, instead of baking.
  • Leftovers can be refrigerated for up to 3 days and reheated before serving.
