These Garlic Butter Mushrooms are the ultimate savory side dish, perfect for pairing with any cut of meat. Sautéed in a rich garlic butter sauce, they’re tender, flavorful, and ready in minutes — making them a must-have on your dinner table. Ideal for weeknight meals or holiday feasts.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb (450g) cremini or white mushrooms, cleaned and trimmed
  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • 1 tbsp chopped fresh parsley (optional)

Instructions

  • Heat olive oil and 2 tablespoons of butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
  • Add mushrooms and cook, stirring occasionally, for about 5–7 minutes until they begin to brown and soften.
  • Add the minced garlic and remaining tablespoon of butter. Stir well to coat the mushrooms.
  • Season with salt and pepper to taste. Continue cooking for another 2–3 minutes until the garlic is fragrant and the mushrooms are fully cooked.
  • Garnish with chopped parsley if desired. Serve warm.

Notes

  • You can use a mix of mushrooms for added texture and flavor.
  • Add a splash of white wine or soy sauce for a deeper umami taste.
  • To make it dairy-free, substitute butter with a plant-based alternative.
