Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic
  • 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon chopped parsley

Instructions

  1. Heat the olive oil in a large pan over medium-high heat.
  2. Add the shrimp to the pan, season with salt and pepper, and cook for 1-2 minutes per side or until pink and opaque. Remove the shrimp from the pan and set aside.
  3. Lower the heat to medium. Add the butter to the pan and let it melt.
  4. Stir in the garlic and red pepper flakes (if using), and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  5. Add the lemon juice and simmer for another minute.
  6. Return the shrimp to the pan and toss to coat with the sauce.
  7. Sprinkle with chopped parsley and serve immediately.

Notes

  • Use fresh or frozen shrimp—just ensure they’re thawed and patted dry before cooking.
  • Serve over rice, pasta, or with crusty bread to soak up the sauce.
  • Add more lemon juice or pepper flakes to adjust flavor to your preference.
