Coated in a garlic butter sauce and topped with freshly grated Parmesan, these tenders are baked to perfection for a healthy, flavorful meal. Perfect as a main dish or a tasty appetizer!

Ingredients

  • 1 lb chicken tenders (about 8 tenders)
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs (preferably panko for extra crunch)
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp dried Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
  • Prepare the coating: In a shallow bowl, mix the breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan, garlic powder, onion powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  • Coat the chicken tenders: Dip each chicken tender into the breadcrumb mixture, pressing gently to coat evenly. Arrange the coated tenders on the prepared baking sheet.
  • Make the garlic butter: In a small bowl, melt the butter in the microwave. Add the minced garlic and stir well.
  • Brush the tenders: Drizzle the garlic butter mixture over the breaded chicken tenders, ensuring each tender is coated with the garlic butter.
  • Bake: Bake for 15-20 minutes or until the chicken is cooked through and the coating is golden and crispy.
  • Garnish: Sprinkle with fresh chopped parsley before serving.

Notes

For extra crispy tenders, you can also air fry the chicken at 375°F for 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway through.

Serve with a side of marinara or ranch dipping sauce for an extra burst of flavor.

You can make the garlic butter ahead of time and store it in the fridge
