Tender chicken breasts simmered in a creamy garlic and Parmesan sauce with a touch of lemon. A comforting and flavorful dinner that’s quick to prepare.

Ingredients

  • 2 large chicken breasts
  • 3 tbsp butter
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup white wine (or chicken broth)
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • Salt, to taste
  • Black pepper, to taste
  • Chopped parsley, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper.
  2. In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Sear the chicken on both sides until golden brown and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, sauté minced garlic until fragrant.
  4. Add white wine (or broth) and let it simmer for 2–3 minutes to reduce slightly.
  5. Stir in chicken broth, heavy cream, Parmesan cheese, and lemon juice. Mix until the sauce is smooth and creamy.
  6. Return the chicken breasts to the skillet and simmer for 5–7 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld.
  7. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve warm.

Notes

  • You can substitute white wine with more chicken broth if preferred.
  • Use freshly grated Parmesan for best flavor and texture.
  • Serve over pasta, rice, or with steamed vegetables.
