Healthy cookies made without any added sugar or flour. These cookies use ripe bananas, oats, and dark chocolate chunks for a naturally sweet, satisfying treat.

Ingredients

  • 3 mashed ripe bananas
  • 1/3 cup applesauce
  • 2 cups oats
  • 1/4 cup almond milk
  • 1/4 cup raisins or nuts
  • 1 cup dark chocolate chunks (Lily’s brand recommended)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (177°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the mashed bananas and applesauce. Mix well.
  3. Add the vanilla extract and cinnamon, stirring to combine.
  4. Add the oats and stir until fully incorporated.
  5. Pour in the almond milk, then add the raisins or nuts and dark chocolate chunks. Mix thoroughly.
  6. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
  7. Scoop spoonfuls of the mixture onto the baking sheet and flatten slightly.
  8. Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until firm and lightly golden.
  9. Remove from oven and let cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
  10. Enjoy your healthy cookies once cooled!

Notes

  • Use very ripe bananas for maximum natural sweetness.
  • Lily’s chocolate is sugar-free and sweetened with stevia, making it a great choice.
  • These cookies do not spread much during baking, so shape them before placing in the oven.
  • Store in an airtight container for up to 5 days, or freeze for longer storage.
