A delicious copycat recipe of Raising Cane’s Texas Toast-style bread, made with thick-sliced bread, garlic butter, and grilled to golden perfection.

Ingredients

  • 1 loaf Texas Toast (thick sliced white bread)
  • 1/2 cup salted butter, softened
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, mix the softened butter and garlic powder until well combined.
  2. Spread a generous amount of the garlic butter on one side of each slice of Texas Toast.
  3. Heat a skillet or griddle over medium heat.
  4. Place the bread slices buttered side down onto the hot skillet.
  5. Grill for about 2-3 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy.
  6. Remove from skillet and serve warm.

Notes

  • Use high-quality butter for the best flavor.
  • Only butter one side to mimic the original Raising Cane’s toast.
  • Best served fresh off the skillet.
