This Honey Garlic Chicken recipe is a flavorful, sweet, and savory dish that’s perfect for any night of the week. With tender chicken coated in a rich honey garlic sauce, it’s a quick and easy meal that the whole family will love.

Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/2 tsp crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  • Season the chicken with salt and pepper on both sides.
  • In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the chicken breasts and cook for 5-7 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature should reach 165°F/74°C). Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
  • In the same skillet, add minced garlic and cook for 1-2 minutes, until fragrant.
  • Add honey, soy sauce, and apple cider vinegar to the skillet, stirring to combine. Bring the mixture to a simmer and cook for 3-4 minutes, allowing it to thicken slightly.
  • If using, add crushed red pepper flakes for a little heat.
  • Return the chicken to the skillet and coat with the honey garlic sauce. Let the chicken simmer in the sauce for an additional 2-3 minutes, until well glazed.
  • Garnish with fresh parsley and serve.

Notes

  • You can substitute chicken thighs for chicken breasts for a juicier option.
  • For a thicker sauce, cook it a little longer until it reduces to your desired consistency.
  • Serve this dish with rice or vegetables to complete the meal.
