This Honey Glazed Chicken Skillet is a quick and flavorful one-pan dish featuring tender chicken breasts coated in a sticky, sweet, and savory honey glaze. Perfect for a busy weeknight dinner!

Ingredients

  • 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 2 tbsp water
  • Chopped green onions for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper on both sides.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the chicken and cook for about 5–6 minutes per side, or until golden brown and cooked through. Remove from skillet and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium and add soy sauce, honey, apple cider vinegar, garlic powder, and red pepper flakes. Stir to combine.
  4. In a small bowl, whisk together cornstarch and water to create a slurry. Pour the slurry into the skillet and stir until the sauce thickens, about 1–2 minutes.
  5. Return the chicken to the skillet and coat it in the glaze. Cook for another 1–2 minutes, until heated through and well coated.
  6. Garnish with chopped green onions if desired and serve immediately.

Notes

  • You can substitute chicken thighs for breasts if preferred.
  • Adjust the amount of red pepper flakes to control the spiciness.
  • This dish pairs well with rice or steamed vegetables.
