This creamy Hot Broccoli Dip combines broccoli, cheddar cheese, and a hint of garlic into a delicious, warm appetizer perfect for parties or game day snacks.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups (500 mL) frozen chopped broccoli, thawed and drained
  • 1 package (8 oz or 250 g) cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup (250 mL) shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup (125 mL) mayonnaise
  • 1 garlic clove, pressed
  • 1/4 tsp (1 mL) ground black pepper
  • Crackers or bread for serving (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C).
  2. In a medium bowl, mix together the cream cheese, mayonnaise, cheddar cheese, garlic, and black pepper until well blended.
  3. Stir in the chopped broccoli until evenly combined.
  4. Transfer the mixture to a small baking dish or oven-safe serving dish.
  5. Bake for 20–25 minutes, or until heated through and the top is lightly golden.
  6. Serve warm with crackers or bread, if desired.

Notes

  • You can substitute fresh cooked broccoli for frozen if preferred.
  • For added flavor, mix in a few tablespoons of chopped cooked bacon or diced red pepper.
  • Can be prepared ahead and baked just before serving.
