This Instant Pot Cranberry Sauce is a quick, easy, and flavorful homemade alternative to canned cranberry sauce. Made with fresh cranberries, orange juice, and natural sweeteners, it’s perfect for holiday meals and can be prepared in under 30 minutes.

Ingredients

  • 12 oz fresh cranberries
  • 1/2 cup orange juice
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup white sugar
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg
  • Pinch of salt
  • Zest of 1 orange (optional)

Instructions

  1. Rinse the cranberries and discard any that are mushy or bruised.
  2. Add the cranberries, orange juice, water, brown sugar, white sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt to the Instant Pot. Stir to combine.
  3. Close the lid, set the valve to sealing, and pressure cook on high for 2 minutes.
  4. Allow a natural pressure release for 10 minutes, then manually release the remaining pressure.
  5. Remove the lid and stir the sauce. Use a spoon to mash some of the cranberries if a smoother consistency is desired.
  6. Stir in orange zest if using, and allow the sauce to cool and thicken before serving.

Notes

  • Can be made ahead of time and refrigerated for up to a week.
  • Add more sugar for a sweeter sauce or reduce for a tarter flavor.
  • Freezes well for up to 2 months.
  • Use orange zest for added citrus flavor.
