30 g (1.1 oz) melted butter
4 g (0.1 oz) salt
10 g (0.4 oz) garlic, minced
150 g (5.3 oz) beef, cooked and crumbled
150 g (5.3 oz) cheese, shredded
1 egg
For the sauce:
10 g (0.4 oz) garlic, minced
40 g (1.4 oz) mayonnaise
1 egg
50 g (1.8 oz) parmesan, grated
25 ml (0.8 fl oz) water
20 ml (0.7 fl oz) olive oil
10 ml (0.3 fl oz) lemon juice
6 g (0.2 oz) sugar
10 g (0.4 oz) mustard
3 g (0.1 oz) salt
3 g (0.1 oz) black pepper
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 200°C (390°F).
Roll out the puff pastry on a flat surface.
In a bowl, mix the beef, cheese, chopped parsley, melted butter, garlic, and salt.
Place spoonfuls of the mixture onto the puff pastry and fold over to seal, forming small pockets or rolls.
Brush the top of each pastry with a beaten egg.
Bake in the oven for 20–25 minutes or until golden brown.
To make the sauce, combine garlic, mayonnaise, egg, parmesan, water, olive oil, lemon juice, sugar, mustard, salt, and pepper in a blender or food processor.
Blend until smooth and creamy.
Serve the baked puff pastries warm with the sauce on the side.
Notes
You can use ground chicken or turkey instead of beef.
Use any melting cheese like mozzarella or cheddar.
Prepare the sauce ahead and chill for deeper flavor.
These pastries freeze well; reheat before serving.
