These Jalapeño Popper Bites are crispy, cheesy, and spicy snack-sized treats perfect for parties or game day. Made with cream cheese, bacon, jalapeños, and coated in a crunchy breading, they’re easy to make and addictively delicious.

Ingredients

  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup cooked, crumbled bacon (about 6 slices)
  • 1/4 cup diced jalapeños (fresh or canned)
  • 1 cup flour
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1 1/2 cups Italian seasoned breadcrumbs
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, cooked crumbled bacon, and diced jalapeños until well combined.
  2. Scoop mixture into small balls (about 1 tablespoon each) and place on a baking sheet. Freeze for 20–30 minutes or until firm.
  3. Roll each ball in flour, dip into beaten eggs, and coat with breadcrumbs.
  4. Heat oil in a deep fryer or heavy pan to 375°F (190°C).
  5. Fry popper bites in batches for about 2–3 minutes or until golden brown and crispy.
  6. Remove from oil and drain on paper towels. Serve warm.

Notes

  • You can use canned or fresh jalapeños depending on your spice preference.
  • To make them ahead of time, freeze the breaded bites and fry them straight from frozen.
  • Try adding a pinch of garlic powder or paprika for extra flavor.
