This light and fluffy Jello Whipped Cream Dessert is the perfect sweet treat for any occasion! With its creamy, airy texture and fruity flavor, it’s a refreshing make-ahead dessert that’s great for summer barbecues, holidays, or just when you’re craving something fun and nostalgic.

Ingredients

  • 1 box (3 oz) flavored Jello (strawberry, raspberry, orange, or your choice)
  • 1 cup boiling water
  • ½ cup cold water
  • 1 cup crushed ice (or additional cold water)
  • 1 cup whipped cream (homemade or Cool Whip)
  • Fresh fruit or berries, for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  • Prepare Jello: In a large mixing bowl, dissolve Jello powder in 1 cup boiling water. Stir until fully dissolved.
  • Cool down: Add ½ cup cold water and crushed ice. Stir until the ice melts and the mixture cools slightly.
  • Whip together: Once the Jello mixture is partially set (like the texture of unbeaten egg whites), gently fold in whipped cream until smooth and fluffy.
  • Chill: Pour into a serving dish, trifle bowl, or individual cups. Refrigerate for at least 2–3 hours until set.
  • Serve: Top with extra whipped cream and fresh fruit if desired.

Notes

  • You can layer different Jello flavors for a colorful dessert.
  • Add canned fruit (like mandarin oranges or pineapple) for extra sweetness.
  • For a lighter option, use sugar-free Jello and light whipped topping.
  • This dessert keeps well in the fridge for up to 3 days.
