Ingredients

  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley (optional, for garnish)
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice (optional, for added flavor)

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • Pat the chicken breasts dry with paper towels to ensure a crispy texture.
  • In a small bowl, combine garlic powder, paprika, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  • Rub the spice mixture all over the chicken breasts, ensuring an even coating.
  • Heat olive oil in an oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the chicken breasts and sear them for about 3-4 minutes per side, until golden brown.
  • Transfer the skillet to the oven and bake the chicken for 20-25 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
  • Remove the chicken from the oven and let it rest for 5 minutes.
  • Optionally, drizzle with lemon juice and garnish with chopped fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

  • You can marinate the chicken breasts in the spice mixture for 30 minutes to 2 hours for enhanced flavor.
  • If you don’t have an oven-safe skillet, you can transfer the chicken to a baking dish after searing it.
