Ingredients

  • 1 lb (450g) salmon fillet, skin removed and cut into bite-sized cubes
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • 1 tsp grated ginger (optional)
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  • In a small bowl, mix honey, soy sauce, olive oil, garlic, lemon juice, and grated ginger (if using). Stir until combined.
  • Season the salmon cubes with salt and pepper.
  • Heat a large skillet over medium heat and add a little olive oil.
  • Once the skillet is hot, add the salmon bites in a single layer. Cook for 2-3 minutes per side until golden brown and crispy.
  • Pour the honey garlic sauce over the salmon bites and cook for another 2-3 minutes, allowing the sauce to thicken and glaze the fish.
  • Remove from heat, garnish with chopped parsley, and serve immediately.

Notes

  • Feel free to substitute the honey with maple syrup for a slightly different sweetness.
  • For extra flavor, add a dash of chili flakes or fresh chili to the sauce.
  • This recipe pairs well with steamed veggies, rice, or a fresh salad.
