These Olive and Feta Bites are a savory, cheesy appetizer made with black olives, crumbled feta, and sharp cheddar, baked into perfect golden-brown bites. Ideal for parties or snacks.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 4 oz feta cheese, crumbled
  • 1/2 cup black olives, chopped
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder (optional)
  • 12 tbsp cold water (as needed)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine shredded cheddar, crumbled feta, and chopped olives.
  3. In a separate bowl, mix flour, baking powder, and garlic powder if using.
  4. Add the flour mixture to the cheese mixture and stir well to combine.
  5. Add softened butter and mix until dough forms. Add cold water a little at a time if the dough is too dry.
  6. Shape the dough into 1-inch balls and place them on the prepared baking sheet.
  7. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown.
  8. Remove from oven and let cool slightly before serving.

Notes

  • You can use green olives or a mix of olives for a different flavor.
  • Best served warm, but can be made ahead and reheated.
  • Add herbs like oregano or thyme for extra flavor.
