These Ooey-Gooey Cheesy Garlic Chicken Wraps are the ultimate comfort food! Tender, juicy chicken coated in a cheesy, garlicky sauce, wrapped in a soft tortilla. Perfect for a quick lunch, dinner, or any time you want a satisfying and indulgent meal.

Ingredients

  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (cut into strips)
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 4 large flour tortillas
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 4 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  • Prepare the Chicken:
  • Season the chicken strips with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  • Heat 2 tbsp olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Once the oil is hot, add the chicken strips and cook for about 6-7 minutes, turning occasionally, until the chicken is fully cooked and golden brown. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
  • Make the Garlic Butter Sauce:
  • In the same skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes, until fragrant.
  • Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a simmer, stirring constantly. Allow the sauce to simmer for 2-3 minutes, until it thickens slightly.
  • Stir in the mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses until fully melted and the sauce becomes smooth and creamy. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Assemble the Wraps:
  • Lay out the tortillas on a flat surface. Place a few pieces of cooked chicken in the center of each tortilla.
  • Spoon a generous amount of the cheesy garlic sauce over the chicken.
  • Fold in the sides of the tortilla and then roll it up tightly, ensuring the filling stays inside.
  • Grill the Wraps:
  • Heat a grill pan or regular skillet over medium-high heat. Lightly grease with a little olive oil or butter.
  • Place the wraps seam side down on the pan and grill for about 2-3 minutes per side, until golden and crispy.
  • Serve:
  • Once the wraps are grilled and crispy, remove them from the pan. Slice them in half and garnish with fresh parsley, if desired.
  • Serve immediately and enjoy the ooey-gooey cheesy goodness!

Notes

  • You can add some veggies like spinach, bell peppers, or onions to the wraps for extra flavor and crunch.
  • If you prefer a spicier kick, feel free to add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the garlic butter sauce.
  • For a lighter version, you can use whole wheat tortillas or substitute the heavy cream with a lighter cream or milk.
