Ingredients
1 loaf sourdough bread, cut into cubes
6 large eggs
2 cups milk
1 cup heavy whipping cream
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/4 cup brown sugar
1 tbsp vanilla extract
1 tsp ground cinnamon
3 ripe bananas, sliced
Streusel topping (optional)
Instructions
Cube the sourdough bread and place it in a large bowl.
In another bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, cream, sugars, vanilla, and cinnamon.
Pour the egg mixture over the bread and stir in sliced bananas.
Transfer the mixture to a greased casserole dish and refrigerate overnight.
The next morning, bake at 350°F for 35-40 minutes. Add streusel on top for the last 5 minutes of baking.
Notes
You can prepare the streusel and refrigerate it overnight to make the morning easier.
If you like your casserole firmer, reduce the baking time slightly.
