Sizzling Bok Choy and Tender Beef stir-fried in a savory garlic soy glaze, perfect for a quick and flavorful meal.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb flank steak or sirloin, thinly sliced against the grain
  • 3 heads baby bok choy, halved lengthwise
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated
  • ¼ cup soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch mixed with 2 tablespoons water
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • Optional: red chili flakes for heat

Instructions

  1. Heat 1 tablespoon oil in a hot skillet or wok over high heat.
  2. Add beef slices in a single layer and sear for 1–2 minutes per side until browned but still tender. Remove and set aside.
  3. Add remaining oil to the skillet, then sauté garlic and ginger for 30 seconds until aromatic.
  4. Add bok choy and stir-fry for 2–3 minutes until vibrant green with lightly charred edges.
  5. Return beef to the pan and pour in soy sauce, oyster sauce, sugar, and black pepper.
  6. Stir in cornstarch slurry and toss everything together until the sauce thickens and coats evenly.
  7. Remove from heat immediately and serve hot.

  • For extra heat, add red chili flakes while sautéing garlic and ginger.
  • Slice beef thinly against the grain for maximum tenderness.
  • Serve with steamed rice or noodles for a complete meal.
