This Strawberry Cobbler is a simple and delicious dessert made with fresh strawberries and a golden, buttery crust. Perfect for summer gatherings or a cozy treat any time of year.

Ingredients

  • 4 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and halved
  • 1 cup granulated sugar (divided)
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Place strawberries in a mixing bowl and toss with 1/2 cup of sugar. Set aside to macerate.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together flour, remaining 1/2 cup sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  4. Add milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract to the dry ingredients and stir until combined.
  5. Pour the batter into a greased 9×9-inch baking dish.
  6. Spoon the strawberries evenly over the batter. Do not stir.
  7. Bake for 40–45 minutes or until the top is golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  8. Let cool slightly before serving. Serve warm with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream if desired.

Notes

  • Use fresh, ripe strawberries for the best flavor.
  • You can substitute some of the strawberries with other berries like blueberries or raspberries.
  • This cobbler can be stored in the fridge for up to 3 days.
