Ingredients
1 cup water
1/2 cup unsalted butter
2 tablespoons granulated sugar
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 cup all-purpose flour
3 large eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 cup granulated sugar (for coating)
1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
Cooking spray or oil for air fryer
Instructions
In a saucepan, combine water, butter, sugar, and salt. Bring to a boil over medium heat.
Once boiling, reduce heat and add flour all at once. Stir vigorously until mixture forms a ball and pulls away from the sides of the pan.
Remove from heat and let cool for 5 minutes.
Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in vanilla extract.
Transfer dough to a piping bag fitted with a large star tip.
Pipe bite-sized portions onto a parchment-lined tray.
Preheat air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
Spray air fryer basket with cooking spray. Place churro bites in basket in a single layer.
Air fry for 8-10 minutes or until golden brown and cooked through.
Mix sugar and cinnamon in a bowl. Toss warm churro bites in the cinnamon sugar mixture to coat.
Notes
Do not overcrowd the air fryer basket to ensure even cooking.
If dough is too thick to pipe, let it cool a bit more or beat longer.
