These Sweet Air Fryer Churro Bites are quick, easy, and perfectly crispy with a soft center. Coated in cinnamon sugar, they’re a delicious treat made in under 30 minutes using simple ingredients and an air fryer.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar (for coating)
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • Cooking spray or oil for air fryer

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan, combine water, butter, sugar, and salt. Bring to a boil over medium heat.
  2. Once boiling, reduce heat and add flour all at once. Stir vigorously until mixture forms a ball and pulls away from the sides of the pan.
  3. Remove from heat and let cool for 5 minutes.
  4. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in vanilla extract.
  5. Transfer dough to a piping bag fitted with a large star tip.
  6. Pipe bite-sized portions onto a parchment-lined tray.
  7. Preheat air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
  8. Spray air fryer basket with cooking spray. Place churro bites in basket in a single layer.
  9. Air fry for 8-10 minutes or until golden brown and cooked through.
  10. Mix sugar and cinnamon in a bowl. Toss warm churro bites in the cinnamon sugar mixture to coat.

Notes

  • Do not overcrowd the air fryer basket to ensure even cooking.
  • If dough is too thick to pipe, let it cool a bit more or beat longer.
  • Serve immediately for best texture and flavor.
