Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 cups white sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 4 cups peeled, cored, and chopped apples
  • 1 cup chopped walnuts

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F and grease and flour a 9×13-inch baking pan.
  2. Combine the flour, sugar, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt in a large bowl.
  3. Add the eggs, vegetable oil, and vanilla and mix until combined.
  4. Fold in the chopped apples and walnuts until evenly distributed.
  5. Spread the batter evenly in the prepared baking pan.
  6. Bake until the cake is golden and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean, about 40 to 45 minutes.
  7. Allow the cake to cool before slicing and serving.
