Ingredients

  • 1 wheel (8 oz) brie cheese
  • 1/4 cup fig jam
  • 1/4 cup chopped walnuts or pecans
  • 1 tablespoon honey (optional)
  • Fresh thyme for garnish (optional)
  • Crackers or sliced baguette for serving

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  2. Place the brie wheel in a small oven-safe baking dish, leaving the rind intact.
  3. Spread the fig jam evenly over the top of the brie.
  4. Sprinkle chopped walnuts or pecans over the fig jam.
  5. Bake for 12 to 15 minutes until the cheese is soft and warmed through.
  6. Remove from the oven and drizzle with honey if desired.
  7. Garnish with fresh thyme and serve immediately with crackers or toasted baguette slices.

Notes

  • Leave the brie rind intact to help the cheese maintain its shape.
  • Use good-quality fig jam for the best flavor.
  • Substitute pecans for walnuts or omit nuts if preferred.
  • Avoid overbaking to prevent the cheese from spreading excessively.
  • Serve with crackers, crostini, apple slices, or fresh pears.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
