Ingredients

  • 1 round sourdough bread bowl
  • 8 oz brie cheese (rind removed)
  • 1 cup cranberry sauce (homemade or store-bought)
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp fresh rosemary (finely chopped)
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 cup chopped pecans (optional)
  • Fresh parsley (for garnish, optional)

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Using a serrated knife, cut the top off the sourdough bread and hollow out the inside, leaving about 1-inch of bread around the edges. Set the bread pieces aside for dipping.
  • Place the hollowed bread bowl on a baking sheet.
  • In a small bowl, mix the cranberry sauce with honey, rosemary, salt, and black pepper. Stir well to combine.
  • Carefully place the brie cheese in the center of the bread bowl.
  • Pour the cranberry mixture over the top of the brie cheese, ensuring it is evenly distributed.
  • Optionally, sprinkle chopped pecans on top for added crunch and flavor.
  • Cover the bread bowl with aluminum foil and bake for 20 minutes.
  • After 20 minutes, remove the foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes, or until the brie is melted and bubbly.
  • Remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes. Garnish with fresh parsley, if desired.
  • Serve with the reserved bread pieces and additional crackers or sliced baguette.
