Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 cup dry bread crumbs
  • 2/3 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil leaves
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 6 skinless, boneless chicken breast halves

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. Combine the olive oil and minced garlic in a bowl.
  3. In a separate bowl, mix the bread crumbs, Parmesan cheese, basil, and black pepper.
  4. Dip each chicken breast into the garlic and olive oil mixture, then coat evenly with the breadcrumb mixture.
  5. Arrange the coated chicken breasts in the prepared baking dish and sprinkle any remaining breadcrumb mixture over the top.
  6. Bake until the chicken is cooked through and the juices run clear, about 30 minutes. The center should reach an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).

Notes

  • For the best texture, coat the chicken evenly with the Parmesan breadcrumb mixture.
  • Cooking time may vary depending on the thickness of the chicken breasts.
  • Serve with roasted vegetables, salad, pasta, or potatoes.
  • Store leftovers covered in the refrigerator and reheat thoroughly before serving.
